How suppliers are checked
Ten automated checks run against public records and the company's website, and repeat every 30 days. Each result is shown on the company page with its source.
Scores run from 0 to 100. Verified business requires a valid tax or VAT number and either a business email or a claimed page. Verified manufacturer also requires evidence of in-house production. A company that fails an identity check stays at Basic regardless of its score.
EU VAT numbers are checked live against the EU VIES register. GSTIN, UK VAT, ABN, Canadian BN and Chinese credit codes are checked by their check digits. Other numbers are checked for format only. The checks do not replace your own audits, samples and references.

| Company registration | A valid company registration number, such as an Indian CIN, a UK Companies House number or a Chinese Unified Social Credit Code. An Indian CIN also shows whether the company is registered as a manufacturer. | 10 |

How reviews work
Signed-in buyers can review a supplier once and update the review later. Quality, delivery and communication are scored separately.
A review is marked when the buyer messaged the supplier, received a quotation from it or awarded it a tender on SourceVouch. Suppliers can reply publicly. Reviews are never removed for payment. Anyone can report a review for moderation.
